I like the sound at jazzbones but the place is so big that if you don't bring a big crowd it just feels awkward being in a crowd of 15.

No it's open I think they go by 56 or something like that, it's just a rock venue now. No hip hop at all.

the best venue in Tacoma (sound-wise) was Temple Theater to me.. the soundguy there knows his shit.

We held Breakin' For Beverley at the Plaza Grand Ballroom and the sound for a bboy jam was very good. They are a little tough on what they allow in their venues because first off they are a catering company.
They usually rent the rooms to people planning to cater with them.
We lucked out because it was a fundraiser, however, it was still a pretty penny to rent the space for 4 hours.
