It struck me tonight that there really isn't much music discussion on thus forum unfortunately. So What is on rotation for you? Picked up any new albums that deserve praise or conversely let you down?

    For me its been:
Nas - Untitled (Great album. He finally got back to what was awesome about illmatic.)
Ratatat - Remixes Volume 1 and 2 (Ratatat beats lyrics from everyone and anyone. Check it out if you havent)
Aceyalone & RjD2 - Magnificent City (Haven't spent much time with this one but so far sounds promising)
The Cool Kids - Bake Sale ( so much 808 goodness)

  1.

johnson & johnson-which is blu's new project with mainframe.
    todd sykes beats
    jay-z-mtv unplugged
jake one-white van music. waiting for my copy which i pre ordered.
brother ali-random tracks. uncle sam goddamn & dorian to be specific.
    dave chapelle's block party dvd/sountrack
    artifakts

That Eligh & Magi album still has me amped up. It wasn't what I expected when I bought it, but by no means was I disappointed. In fact the opposite. Magi aka Tom Slick produces some pretty dope beats, as does Eligh. About half of the album is instrumentals and the other half Eligh is spittin on some funky beats.

i want the new scarface to come out. if you haven't heard "emeritus" go to nahright.com look back a ways for it (there might be a search bar).

  17.

I like the new murs alot... he experiments in a couple songs and its on some real positive (basically no cussing) influence shit, but production is dope, overall definitely worth listening to... I like the Blue Sky Black Death album too, but Jean Grae always brings it in my opinion (I thought she retired??)...

yeah man, it was around this time last year. i wasn't ever hip to their music at the time, but i was able to recognize who they were. moslty the main dude with the glasses and crazy hair. it was pretty dope, and i guess they have been southern kitchen frequenters for years.
