Tell all those Curtis heads! We are mostly Curtis grads.
you might even ask if some remember the Biznautics, and if so tell them the d-child can be seen with the Nasty.
although i'm not sure anymore how many curtis kids would know that. probably just the ones with older brothers..?

as much as i love mg and the outfit, there was nobody there to see them unfortunately.
we try to get our fans to stay, but...
everybody cleared out after the first act...
kinda can't control that too much. i tried.

reign's pretty sly way of shit-talking is amusing to me.

how is fresh blends going anyways?
haven't heard too much about it. from anyone really...

    lol.
your maturity level just gained +15xp
don't see how i was talking shit. i asked a question. haven't seen any photos or anything really. a couple but it looked a bit dreary.

i suppose acting like a man to you means threatening to beat up an 18 year old girl and throwing out vulgarities at her on stage.
as that is what you did.
way before any shit mixtapes were smashed.

    making tacoma look bad?
comeon man your immaturity and temperamental behavior on display here is more than enough to show me that you in fact are much more of a cancer to this city. but i'm not here to argue who's bad for tacoma and who's got a better following. we've been going for a little over a year now playing shows and are now able to pack hell's kitchen and land bigger shows. pretty decent progress if you ask me, especially since we never went into this in a manner of "gotta get big" mentality. if 7 years from now we're still playin hell's kitchen on wednesday nights, i'll probably hang up the towel.

now, about the talking shit to a girl incident.

    Yo Nasty,

First Fresh Blends from what I've heard has been nothing but positive. With the head count rising, to average about 75 each night, bringing some top notch artists all around (Blu, Orb, and way more to come), so far it's one of the best things that's happened to the Tacoma Hip-Hop scene in a long time. That's about the numbers one should expect in the summer and with a bi-weekly that's just starting off. Much better than a family fan base. All doing this with very little financial resources. Looks to me like this night will continue to grow, even if people like you don't support it. In fact, it'd be better that way. Let's see you and your crew step to the plate and try to collaborate with heads who are reaching out to the diverse hip-hop scene that Tacoma has. So your funny little remark means nothing except that you don't support the events.

I didn't see any hidden agenda's in Reigns comments above. In fact, I totally agree with him. People need to show love to Outfit and MG. MG has been holding it down for Tacoma for a grip in the hip-hop scene. I bet you remember PLU 8 when he held it down there. I know you remember, cause you and some of your old crew were there! : ) now figure that comment out.

As for your crowd not sticking around...that's what happens when the crowd is filled with mom's, sisters, brothers, cousins, high school friends...your fans should of stuck around and you do actually have some control over that. Sounds to me like you had some issues with opening the show thinking your crew should of been the headliners.

Now take a deep breath and let's get back to reality of what's going down. How about this, don't hide behind your group persona. Let's get a name out there so we know which one in the group has an issue. Cause I know your whole group probably doesn't have an issue with Reign. Obviously you have an issue with Reign, just handle it. Get it out in the open to who you are so you both can discuss this OFFLINE and not ONLINE. Internet beef is for suckers anyway.

    jason,

it's funny you see a hidden agenda in my post but not his.
maybe that's because you have taken a side.
i simply asked how it was going. cause really i hear nothing about it.
for you to claim that i am not trying to bring diversity to tacoma's hip hop scene is ludicrous.
if anything we are a diverse genre of hip hop, incorporating the live musicianship into our music.

reigns comments to me on this board have always had hidden agendas.
he could have very easily said, "people should go to this show. there are some good acts involved."
but he chose to make it clear. whether you feel the history of it or not is irrelevant. but i really don't care. reign not supporting our band is not making or breaking any deal. if anything it's helping both of our respective scenes. a little bit of disagreements in hip hop can be healthy, so long as the don't get out of hand. this disagreement has not gotten out of hand, and i am sure it never will get out of hand.

as far as our fans not sticking around, i actually had no control. i asked them on stage to stay. we had no problems with opening. you are looking too far into things. this is a show that flash asked us to play 5 days prior, just cause he didn't have a third band and he knew we would be happy to help him out. and we did. of course only our friends showed up. i didn't have fliers made, i wasn't promoting, it wasn't in the fucking paper. 5 day notice man! the week before, every single fan of ours stayed for the next act. almost like that one was promoted and more than just friends coming out.
i didn't want to play last, and in fact i would have denied playing last had they offered. while it's true that the majority of our fans are also our friends, i find it hard to believe that anybody else playing hell's kitchen has it any other way. you tellin' me you don't walk out in the crowd at a show and talk to all the people there in a friendly manner? maybe even have a drink with them? i'll tell you this, i've made a lot more friends from having played a show and met them at one. so then the discussion comes down to chicken v. egg.

now you get into the really stupid part of your post, my friend. claiming that i'm "hiding behind my group persona," and that i'm "the only one who has a problem with reign." both of these are ridiculously false. if you had been paying any attention on this board, i've posted my name, video of myself, and pictures of myself on stage all the while pointing out exactly which one i am. not just once, but multiple times. i posted pictures of us on stage and talked about my green suit, i commented on schmaltzy's youtube video of us @ art on the ave and talked about my ghey ghuitar or something.. it's really obvious who i am. plus everyone i've ever met from this board i've introduced myself as the dude who "types too much on 253hiphop."
you are also mistaken about reign, as he took the liberty to threaten every single member of my band while we were on stage tearing down just because of the words of one. they all don't really like him that much as a person. he talked a gang of shit to everyone, including the underage female vocal when she told him to calm down. he denies this, and i don't care i knew he would, but if i brought up the shit his crew was saying when they thought nobody was listening earlier that night they would deny that as well.

oh and let me "figure that comment out."
first off, i am not a rapper. i care not that 6+ years ago two of the biznautics (neither of which are in my band) got blown up at a freestyle battle. that doesn't even get CLOSE to offending me. those people are my friends, sure. but neither of them are in my band.

there, did i properly address all of your points?
    satisfied?
    maybe you should re-read it.

yea you're all gay fucks for even complaining. just hug and make love.

but nasty's right about hells being kinda a friend venue. its not a bad thing, lots of bands/acts just have real tight followings that range in size. and so what if folks dont stick around, maybe they got work in the morning or some shit, and who the fuck is anyone to say who i should stick around and watch at a show? i'm not saying anything bad about any band but if i paid the five bucks to get in what difference does it make? trust me i've played punk shows at hells (sausage party!) where there were only 8 people watching, mostly other band members, and to me those are the nights you learn how to rock a fucking stage. its a whole lot harder to get amped up, its actually kinda depressing but its like fuck... you go play a show on short notice what do you expect to be the outcome? and really if you dont promote the shit outta your own show you only have yourself to blame if no one comes out. you just take it and say oh well next time i'll actually think to get some flyers copied a week or so in advance and drop em off at the usual spots.

and you people wonder why i dont try, all the negative bullshit just negates any attempt at complete honesty.

-also, wasnt that the opening night of the olympics/seahawks pre-season opener/kegger at my place? thats where everyone was.

First of all evergreen never got jacked for anything. We are friends, and his involment in the night ened, when he didnt have the time to plan the next event, and we did. He has come out to support the night and given us props for doing it. I honestly dont think that Evergreen alone has the time to put the work we are putting into the event each time, and thats not saying anything about evergreen just saying he works full time and is only one person. I just want it to be clear.

I didnt claim u said the contrary but u wanted to know how its going and what its about, well there yah go. I put it down and im not jumping into the middle of this beef. But fresh blends is my baby too and i care about it alot!

We have a great collection of pics from the last two shows. i just dont know where they are at. Find communists's posts and u will find the gallery.

Fresh blends is all about Hip Hop music in the northwest. We have walked out of that venue with 6 dollars in our pocket b4 after paying the talent what we could. If that aint about the music then i dont know what else is. What ever beef you may have with reign i hope it dose not spoil the view of fresh blends for any person.

i think fresh blends is dope. infact im looking forward to hittin one of those up pretty soon minus my band.

i don't look at it as the night getting jacked. i had alot of stuff going on. i had two of my uncles pass away in the same month. i was in between jobs. and, honestly, i just wasn't that good at it. i don't have a big enough reputation or "street cred" to pull in some of the acts that these guys have gotten into the kitchen. kudos for that. ha ha i just said kudos. but on the real, when i thought of the name fresh blends i had the idea of bringing in a diverse amount of hip hop to be showcased at these shows. and not just diverse, but dope too... you guys are doin a hell of a job at gettin good acts. again, i really enjoyes the break battle and orbitron. and that was the only one i have been to since the first one i performed at.

nasty. you guys know where i stand with you. i enjoy your music as well as your company.

they wont have liquor ever. i can almost guarantee it. the intent is to be the anti-bar, i believe. i worked with one of the guys who runs it in a previous form, the hall, it was a rented out vfw hall in UP which did alright, but got shut down. gotta remember its the hardcore/straight edge scene they appeal to, mostly. just do an all ages all night fresh blends at hells, an early and a late show yo. get two different sets of openers and a good headliner or two for both shows. i think it'd be a smash.

i would do it but the obvious disparity in talent on stage would jeopardize the development of tacoma hip hop, and i just can't let that happen. maybe at bumbershoot, but even then i would put the jack move on the limelight on some browsvillaphone madness

i've only been to viaduct once for a lo-fi indie rock concert but it wasn't bad. though of course that kind of music is best suited for a table, wine, and steak as opposed to a stage and open space.
