    So before this summer is over we need to plan another 253hiphop.com bbq meetup, Sunday afternoons seemed to work pretty well, anyone want to propose a date and location?

    We could do it again at meconis or we could do it outside

    Spanaway park? too far. I liked the idea of a bar meetup better. we should meet up at The Top of Tacoma. They have outdoor patio space, cold drinks, full menu, a pool table and pinball. Plus the jukebox is connected to the internet so we can just take it over and play whatever we want. and yes- they have PBR...in tall cans.

    why not support a local business while we meet up?

    I'm not tryin to hate. I lived out near brookdale for a minute. I refer to it as the lower east side. It sounds nicer that way. ;).. I'm just saying.....Spanaway park is deep if you live near stadium, and Top of tacoma is on McKinley kinda near downtown and kinda near the east/south side. Jaimie is a loyal tacoman and she'd probably be more than happy for our support and business.

    the reason I dont want it at a park is this

    8.27.80 Intoxicating liquors.
    The display, possession, or consumption of intoxicating liquors in any park is prohibited,
    except in particular areas or facilities which may be expressly designated from time to
    time by the Board of Park Commissioners. Every person who violates any provision of
    this section shall be guilty of a civil infraction and shall be fined not more than $100,
    which includes all statutory assessments. Whenever any person is stopped for a
    violation of this section, the officer may detain that person for a reasonable period of
    time necessary to identify the person and check for outstanding warrants. (Ord. 26679 &
    2; passed Aug. 22, 2000: Ord. 24165 & 5; passed Aug. 16, 1988: Ord. 19224 & 2;
    passed Nov. 4, 1970)

    Remember Tacoma is much bigger than the 253. Spanaway is a major part of where the current scene came from. It might be a good thing to have a beer at these meetings, but is it the BEST?

    What are these meetings about? Drinking beer? Trading records?

    Let's grow and build the scene.
