The only person that I would want to see that I haven't already seen is Doom. Slim is right, Rakim is the guy to see. That show is going to be amazing though. That is just a crazy weekend, because the night before Rock The Bells is the Al Green show in Tacoma, and that is some once in a lifetime shit.

I love Al Green too. I went to a show in Seattle a few years ago and he was on that gospel/Jesus trip hard. He hardly did any of his classic shit. It was mostly praise music. I'm not hating though. Just telling ya to be prepared.

That's how Al Green progressed as a person, he became a follower of Christ. I would expect that he sing mostly that style of music. He's dope regardless of what he sings.

whatever happened to that rumor of Doom bein either sick, hospitalized, or dead.
there were all those youtube videos going around of a dude in mask supposed to be doom who was lip-syncing.. and then there was a show suddenly canceled in oakland or something due to "illness" right before all that....

    anybody ever catch that drift?
    is it still an impostor?

I went down to the one in the Bay on the 16th. Doom was nowhere to be found.

However, it was a sick as show from start to finish. I got a mad amount of pictures from the crappy camera phone.

Its really too bad Red and Meth won't be there because that was one live ass set they did.

    Other highlights:
    Blackalicious and Lateef...awesome.
    Nas's set was intense.
Murs has a new song that's ridiculous.
    Ghostface and Raekwon...filthy.
Rakim IS as the kids are calling it these days, the "truth"
    Mos Def was great...once again.
It was cool seeing the entire Pharcyde back together, but their set was kinda bunk...and I hate saying that because that's one of my favorite groups. Still hearing the classics was dope.
Tribe's set...insane and an awesome way to end the show.

and I'll be going to the one at the Gorge too.

  10.

Doom is a punk-ass, douche bag. I saw what went down at the San Bernardino show on the 9th. Fans were waiting by the second stage for over an hour hoping to catch his performance. Finally, Doom or should I say "Doomposter" came out sounding whack as hell (despite the sound being fine for preceding acts). Fans went crazy, they started booing and throwing anything they could get their hands on. The punk had nothing else to do but run off the stage, back to his SUV and drive off leaving behind his DJ and manager. Needless to say the some-odd 1k fans that waited for nothing missed out on Mos Def, The Pharcyde and most of Nas. Sucks. He doesn't deserve to have fans.

This is why Doom was no longer billed for SF nor The Gorge show. Good Ridence
