    im def listening to the new wayne. other than that ive been on a lot of older stuff this summer, wu-tang, nas, and mos def... and i just got blu and excile back out.

    ive been told i need to download wale's free mixtape tho, and that nas' new free mixtape is essentially the album he wanted to put out but was to controversial for his label, so im literally about to download those two.

    casual's album "smash rockwell" has been in my rotation for a couple weeks now.

    also, that album called "Think Differently Music: Wu Tang meets the indie culture". got some dope songs on it. lots of killer emcees. aesop rock, casual, gza, r.a. the rugged man, vast aire, c rayz walz, del, mf doom, j live. a gang of appearaces. i been hooked on this album for a couple years now.

    listening to an early version of john crowns album

    Lil Wayne's Cd which i thought I would never like but actually like a decent amount, some is meh to me.

    C.R.A.C. Knucks and a ton of blu still, his mixtape and below the heavens.

    I finally copped this Thes One instrumental album called Lifestyle Marketing that is off the fucking hook.

    Theres this group named Animal Collective and I'm feeling their shit quite a bit. I came out to one of their songs at my birthday show actually.

    Definitely listen to beats a lot of the time while i'm in the car because thats when i write mostly.

    i been playing the shit out of the industry shakedown by Freddie Foxxx lately. Petestrumentals, Midnight Maruauders, pretty much classic hip hop in the truck or beats that i've made and at home i just listen to records mainly. I been on that James Brown tip the last week or so!!!!

    too be honest the mgmt single blows the rest of the album out of the water but it's all good. single is just an experience.

    i feel like good music is on the comeback trail in the mainstream. unfortunately it's all coming in the form of lo fi and electronic-infused art rock. i think the mellowness of those records is why i've had such a cam'ron craze, lately. gotta find musical equilibrium and what have you.

    anyone else think low end theory and strickly business are the greatest summer albums of all time? there's some average white band shit that's just perfect sun toons, too. hyperbole, obviously, don't cut yourself

    ps where can i buy a copy of stepping stone from you without ordering it online/waiting for a show?

    my friends aunt and uncle are in this band that goes by "Love as Laughter". they played a show with Broken Social Scene where i got to meet a couple of them. shit, i think there are like 9 or 11 people in the band. all of the dudes i met were really cool.
