http://www.industryfinest.com/content/view/749/One can only imagine how many sparks were flying off Kanye West's Mac Air after he returned from the holiday weekend and saw the story in Friday's Chicago Sun-Times, reporting that his management team was considering signing him up for anger-management classes in an attempt to curb the rapper's infamous temper tantrums.
Never one to let a good deed go unpunished, West vigorously denied the story on his blog on Monday. The headline said it all: "No Anger Management ... If Anything I Need Anger Enhancement! LOL!!!" In the rant, West made it clear that what you read is not necessarily always the truth.
"Do y'all remember when people said my fiancee was pregnant???? ... I'm just using that as an example of how people make up stuff and everybody runs with it," he wrote. "I had my own family asking me about that. Now the media is saying I'm going to anger management something or 'nother. I have never had any conversations about anger management. If anything, I need anger enhancement!! lol! I get off the plane in Hawaii today and the world is saying my management team said blah blah blah ... SIIIIIIGGGHHHH! I told the media you can't make up lies about me because I have a media outlet myself."
West's, ahem, angry response was inspired by comments from an unnamed "insider" in his camp, who reportedly told the Sun-Times gossip columnist that they thought anger-management classes would improve West's own "personal psychological well-being and relationship with friends," as well as help him get some lucrative endorsement deals.
The source said that a major cosmetics firm and an auto manufacturer are interested in signing up the rap star — who recently flamed Bonnaroo stage managers for being "squid brains" after his poorly received 4:30 a.m. set — but they are concerned about "how easy he'll be to work with."
In addition to showing how much control 'Ye has over his anger, the blog post schooled us on what kinds of things are appropriate to bring up the next time we sit down with the Louis Vuitton Don. "I don't know if everyone has realized this yet, but I don't do interviews. If there's anything I wanna say, I'll say right here on my own blog."
So funny to me how Kanye writes on his blog, I bet his PR person must get so frustrated proofing that crap he types
He does have a good point though about fighting allegations and media with "his own media", if a artist can respond directly from their own source then it definitely straights things out. This is the future that most celebrities will use as a model for sure.
you got kanye west's info on lock, good looking out.
yo.
no matter what he says or does i can never bring myself to not like kanye. possibly because college dropout is one of my favorite albums ever, or just cause i think he is good for the genre. who else makes major budjet hip-hop videos that actual have artist elements and concepts?
kanye is dope. he prob deals with so much crazy shit.
I'm glad someone finally admitted to liking Kanye West. I do. I know he's a big crybaby/ego-maniac. I know he's not the best rapper or producer, but Understatement is right. He is one of the few big-budget Hip-Hop artists that infuses actual art into his songs, albums, and videos. I agree it is good for Hip-Hop to have a big-name artist who actually infuses artistic creativity into their work. I love it when Hip-Hopers start seeing themselves as artists and more than just rappers. After all, music is art.
Kanye's music is pretty hit or miss with me, but i will say at least someone on a major had the sense to take a DMC champ on the road with them. Drama queen or not, I think it's dope he let A-Trak get some shine and he's helping out with some of the Baltimore club/go-go/juke scene in the way of remixes and guest verses etc. and blowing up artists like Kid Sister who we otherwise might not have heard of.
i would like to know what actual "arts" you are talking about... riding on bapes, murakami, familiar with "street" art (kaws and the likes) is cool to a very short extend but won't earn him in any sort of credit. He has the mean to get into all those things, he's just riding on what has happened years ago and some what propels it to the next level of retardation. What about a-trak? no disrespect but a-trak is smart enough to help introduce kanye to all the new thing and get up on the money level. i agree with you (josh) that
Josh Rizeberg:I know he's a big crybaby/ego-maniac. I know he's not the best rapper or producer,
what can you say, i'm a hater.
you cant fuck with these videos

only a few people are making videos like this, and common doesnt count cause kanye has prolonged dudes career by 5 years and i would be hard pressed to believe that the videos for "Go" and "I want you" werent a lot of kanye's doing.
while im posting about videos, my favorite ever... Jay's "99 problems" video, freaking incredible. peep it if you havent before
