I have the hook-up at the Peoples Center on Martin Luther King Way on Hilltop. We could use this as a venue for free. They have a gym with a stage. Their could be shows by local artists, D.J. sets, B-Boy/Girl sessions, all day long. We could even plan a battle if people want it. Artists and clothing designers could set-up tables and booths in the back of the gym and sell their stuff all day long. It would be a good day for networking. I might be able to get a few sponsers to maybe be able to offer the artists some small amount of pay but I don't think it would be a lot. So who's interested? I could plan it for the end of summer? I just want to see what artists would be willing to do this even though I couldn't guarantee them a big payday but ya could push yo merch like gangstas. So let me know if ya down.

I could wait. Right now ya the only person who's down so far. If not enough people decide to participate and we can't make a full day out of it. I have a good hook-up on a venue that has about 100 capacity and we can just throw a show there.

Nice, so far we have 2 crews down. We need more. I'll keep a running list. Like I said. If we don't get like more than 5 acts. We can have a show or two at another spot I know of.

    have wax, will travel.

  9.

If you don't have enough people for an all day are you planning a night show then?

  10.

This is growing nice. I think we'll have enough artists to make a day out of it. So interested people still contact me. I'll start planning this shit. Would Labor Day Weekend be a good time?

  11.

thats bumbershoot, but with the hip-hop line up being so-so we could maybe pull it off, im trying to go support grynch on the 30th, as a few others might be cause he was around our scene last year. and brother ali is day after i think... i dunno how many people from the tac go up for bumbershoot tho. i would think a few, im still pretty new to the area so other people should weigh in on this

Ok good feedback. We'll push it back to mid-September. I was just hoping to catch that all day summer vibe, but it will still pop. I'm going to see who else wants to be down. Once I come up with a date I'll see if other 253 heads that are on myspace but not 253.com want to be down. So I'll send out a bulletin. Then I'll come up with the line-up. So keep letting me know if ya want to be a part of this.

jesus that's about the only way i'd see beck, last time i went to buy tickets they were like $60 for general. beck is a hero of mine but what the mother fuck. actually bumbershoot looks really good (diverse) this year.

    yeah that is pricey.
i saw beck on the Odelay tour when he was just getting popular @ Endfest.
Then again on the Midnite Vultures tour... but i don't remember what the price was on that one.

My biggest regret is missing him at Benaroya Hall in Seattle on the Sea Change tour.
That concert hall is a fucking acoustical wonder, and i'm sure that was amazing.

    Bumbershoot=win this year for sure.
and last year was fun too, got to see Wu-Tang baby!

I'm not missing Beck this year, especially after his latest venture with Dangermouse. Plus I heard Kids in the Hall were going to be at Bumbershoot this year.
Besides with the amount of talent in this area, and proper promotion, you can turn an all day festival on any summer weekend into a smashmouth rager. Hey! Let's get Smashmouth to play!
You could get a lot of heads to turn out for this.
