I heard WonderCreature is a little kid who slangs crack downtown. His parents died in a fire when he was 6 months old, and they were homeless. So now he runs the streets putting up stickers and drawings he does with crayons donated by the salvation army.

Q: What is Wonder Creature and what, if anything, does it represent?

A: It represents the dreams, aspirations and hope of a generation. I try to inspire a younger crowd to feel better about themselves and their environment. Only joking, its just some "retarded whale thing" (thanks Modem) that I liked the look of.

Q: How long has WC been around?

A: I sketched the first one in the summer of 2007 and within a few days put up the first paste below the Proctor bridge in North Tacoma. Since then i've put up a sticker or wheatpaste whenever i get the chance.

Q: How do you determine where WC will show up next?

A: It depends on how many I have already put up in the area. If there arent any I aim for visible and out in the open spots but if there are already a good amount of stickers I put them in places that few people will see... sorta like easter egg hunting.

Q: Can you provide a list of your favorite WC locations or incarnations?

A: Oh boy, favorite would have to be either a large roller below the 705 exits to North/South I-5 or my buddy hangin' tough on the McMurray Morgan bridge greeting visitors to Tacoma.

Q: Does the artist behind WC work in other media or any other urban art around Tacoma?

A: I tried my hand at the tradional graffiti stuff but I wasnt ballsy enough to do much with it. I plan to go into graphic design but at the moment i dont have much to show, help me change that though wondercreature@gmail.com
