Cool SAVAGEFAMFAZELEZZ, lets try to keep this thread to introductions only
You should start a new discussion and explain whats going on and add those videos. I know I'm interested to hear what its about.
Hiphop has a inner circle.edited: This is for introductions only, use "whispers" to talk to people privately
Thanks
This Internet Video Show was designed to expose the northwest communities to its local hip hop culture.
" BRIDGING THE GAPS, AND BRINGING THE HYPE BACK TO THE NORTHWEST "
The Northwest alone has produced many artist that have successfully crossed over to create Gold & Platinum tracks and albums, with promotions from mainstream radio and VIDEO play. Many local hip hop acts have videos, but without a place for them to be seen, and not without paying some sort of station FEE, is why a lot of NW artist shy away from this type of exposure.
This is why I decided to create this forum, another hip hop outlet showcasing NW artist via interviews, CD reviews/releases, club events, and so forth. So if you have an event that your planning or VIDEO, send your info to the following address:
Attention Online Hype Video Department
onlinehypevideo@yahoo.com
To bring more shine to the NW, we all need to work together to make this crack, without unity within OUR hip hop culture, the Northwest will stay behind the times.
SUPPORT NORTHWEST HIP HOP BY ALL MEANS!!!

What's up Tacoma? I'm Slimrock, and I'm a vinylholic. Been DJ'ing for about 12 years I guess. Originally from San Jose, CA.. I now call Olympia home.I've laid scratches on a couple northwest releases(w/ Saints of Everyday Failure and most recently Smoke of Oldominion), done club residencies(the Mark, the Vault, Barcode),a handful of battles, a community radio show on KAOS , a couple mixtapes, taught basic introduction to DJ'ing classes with Reign and J-Fresh, did a "history of the DJ" exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum with DJ's DV One and B-Mello, and have been fortunate enough to open locally for alot of nationally touring acts such as Aceyalone, Souls of Mischief, Visionaries, D-Styles, Rob Swift, Lyrics Born, Blacksheep, and The Roots among others.
I really like what I saw from the Tacoma HipHop community when we (Reign and myself) were trying to get Hell's Kitchen to jump off as a weekly... or any time the Dancebroomz have come through. The heads are definitely out there, it just seems like there's not a whole lot of networking or communication, which is something I hope this online forum will help fix.
I really think that Tacoma has a scene just waiting to blow up, with plenty of very talented people with a genuine love of real, soulful, quality HipHop music, art, and culture; that are very active within their own elements... but its growth seems stifled by venue owners who misconceive the term "HipHop" for blinged-out lakewood G-rappers that bang out a shit "album" in a day on some trial version fruityloops shit and bring 10 drunk garbage myspace rappers on stage with them... and then have a shootout in the parking lot.
Anyway, I don't really consider myself an active participant in the Tacoma scene by any means, honestly I've done more work in Seattle... but Respect to all of you out there with the work ethic to hold down that 40 hour a week grind and still produce, perfect, and promote your art!
Very glad to have you here DJ Slimrock, welcome

you have no idea how down I am for local artists to come freestyle, play some beats, talk about graffiti, the like. try me. all we got is community, so lets get started. I'm thinking battle to the death.
My show is ZOMBIE hip hop, which is Friday nights at 10-11pm...but because I'm the director, I can basically force any poor little DJ to host an in-studio.

I represent the gritty underbelly of this city as much as the next cat except for the fact Im not an alcoholic which is nearly unheard of I know...
Siriusly though Im up on myspizzle quite a bit and I actually respond intelligently in a timely manner to most queries or conversations so dont sleep

I've been on this site since it started but never really officially introduced myself. Right now I'm focusing on photography primarily skateboarding from local riders. Here's a sample of my work.

Matek, what up son! Dude, I have a spot that would be dope for a skatespot photoshoot. It's an angle wall on the Narrows Bridge, it's possible.

It's a dope spot. Just a slant wall, but would make for a REAL good shot forsure! One of those spots you have 5 minutes to get a shot, then roll out.
Worth it though, I think.
